Join us for February’s Carbon Neutral Coffee meetup! Louie Krak, Leader of RISE PA and Infrastructure Implementation Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will present on Reducing Industrial Sector Emissions in Pennsylvania (RISE PA).
The goal of RISE PA is to fund small-, medium-, and large-scale decarbonization projects at industrial facilities to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and co-pollutant emissions. Pennsylvania’s industrial sector is the highest emitting sector statewide and accounts for about 30% of the Commonwealth’s total GHG emissions.
On behalf of the Pennsylvania DEP, Louie Krak leads RISE PA Program, which is a $396 million industrial decarbonization grant program funded through the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants. Prior to this role, Louie served as an Infrastructure Coordinator for the Governor’s Office of Critical Investments working to maximize the value of federal funding opportunities for Pennsylvania. He has also served in DEP’s Policy Office specializing in climate change, energy, and air policy in addition to working on farmland preservation at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
